The Limited XT, Touring XT, and Wilderness trims upgrade to a 2.4-liter direct-injection turbocharged four-cylinder that outputs 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive® and a continuously variable transmission.
Towing and Cargo
The rugged 2026 Subaru Outback boasts a towing capacity of 3,500 lbs, making it perfect for a variety of cargo and gear. The versatility doesn't stop there, because this new Subaru model also equips a power rear liftgate and raised roof rails with an 800 lb static-load rating. The power liftgate provides access to a spacious interior that affords 34.6 cubic feet of cargo volume with the rear seats up, or 80.5 cubic feet with them lowered.
Infotainment
On the infotainment side, all trims feature a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a new 12.1-inch Subaru Multimedia System touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity. Also, every trim except Premium comes standard with wireless device charging, Harman Kardon® premium audio, and an onboard navigation system.
Safety
The acclaimed EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology suite is better than ever.
